Helping and supporting your child's education
St Mary's School values and supports parental contributions to their child's education. A range of homework is available to help reinforce children's learning and support parents get involved with their child’s education at home, especially through consolidating the recall of essential knowledge (such as multiplication and number facts) and practicing reading and phonics knowledge.
We base our approach to homework on the research base form the Education Endowment Forum, which can be seen here:

Parents and carers are welcome to come into school and help with class reading or other activities. Please let your child's teacher know of any assistance you would like to give.
