St Mary's C of E Primary School & Nursery

The second year of our 'new look' sports day saw the children challenging themselves and competing between their house teams in 12 different events. The sun shone down on the children who thoroughly enjoyed themselves and enjoyed being part of their team. We received so many wonderful comments from attending parents, carers, grandparents and governors about the event and especially about how well-behaved the children were and what a great attitude they displayed. The older children (our Sports Council and Prefects) got particular mention in the way they supported and cared for the younger KS1 children participating in the afternoon events - they were truly marvellous. Special thanks to Mrs Lambe and all the staff who helped set up, run events and support children, enabling all to participate and achieve.
