St Mary's C of E Primary School & Nursery

Ten dedicated, enthusiastic and talented girls from Year 5 and Year 6 played the game of their lives this weekend. The team began their quest for the title in February. After playing 7 matches and drawing their group, they won their play-off match against Goddard Park earlier this month. This guaranteed their spot in the final against the winners of the other group (Shaw Ridge). Their day started at 9am when they all met at Millbrook School to warm up with Matt, Mrs Bounds and Miss Palmer. The team were raring to go and were confident with the skills they had learnt this year. A final result of 5-1 made St Mary's the winners and the girls were ecstatic with their win. A special thank you goes out to the 40 supporters who came to cheer on the team, including family, friends, St Mary's staff and children, sports coaches, and members of the boys' team. Yet another trophy for the cabinet!
