KS1 Cotswold Forest School trip 5 March 2017 (by Sarah BROWNE (sbrowne)) |
KS1 had a fantastic time visiting the Cotswold Forest School. Even though the weather wasn't brilliant we made the most of it and enjoying squelching in the mud as we ventured into the woodland.
On Monday 27th February and Friday 3rd March, our KS1 pupils had a wonderful trip to the Cotswold Forest School. We enjoyed a range of Forest School activities which began with us collecting sticks to become more familiar with our surroundings. We then split into groups and Johno, Becky and John (Leaders from the Forest School) took us off to do different activities. We went bug hunting, made mud faces on the trees and made mini homes for woodland creatures. Our wonderful trip was topped off by warming ourselves around the campfire with a toasted marshmallow. All pupils behaved exceptionally well and coped tremendously when having to change from their incredibly muddy wellies back into their shoes with great independence.
