Down at the farm31 January 2017 (by Jodie HILL (jhill)) |
Keystage 1 spent the morning at Quarry Farm as part of their Geography and Science lessons
When you have to learn about animals and their habitats, and recognise geographical features of our village, what could be better than a walk to our local farm? The answer is....Nothing!
Despite the drizzling rain Keystage 1 had a wonderful time finding out how cows are milked, what pigs like to eat (everything except onions) and what happens on a farm.
Huge thanks goes to everyone at Quarry Farm who made us feel so welcome and gave up their time to show us around. Big thanks also to all the parents and helpers who came on our muddy walk.
