Youth Speaks 2017 champions!

Monday night saw three of our year 6 children talk their way to victory in the annual Rotary Youth Speaks competition.

The annual Youth Speaks competition is organised by the Rotary Club for North Wiltshire primary schools. Teams of three children have to stand and present a strictly-timed, prepared talk to the audience and judging panel. The St Mary's team, with support from Miss Jones and Miss Palmer, had worked so hard over recent weeks (all in their own time) to write, prepare and practise their talk, that they were understandably thrilled to win this most challenging competition.
