Year 5 Parents joined classes 11 and 12 this week to take part in an afternoon of practical science.

Every term a year group hosts an open afternoon for parents and carers to give them a chance to see their child's learning in action. This week was Year 5's turn and they spent the afternoon exploring forces through their topic theme. Amongst other things, as you can see in the photograph, they had a go at making clay Roman boats float and saw how the size of a soldier's shield would be affected by air resistance as they ran into battle!
