Remote Learning Policy

During lockdown, St Mary’s quickly developed different online and remote strategies for learning. We utilised a variety of solutions ranging from a bespoke online Home Learning Hub, deliverable packs of activities, provision of digital devices and delivering live and recorded video lessons. We had to reflect on how to teach best through this new medium. Should such an eventuality arise again, we have policies in place to deal with the complex challenges of delivery high quality remote learning, alongside ‘in-school’ learning for different groups of pupils.

Scenarios include:

1. Pupils off school (e.g. awaiting a test result or isolating)
2. Individual school closures
3. Local lockdowns
4. Country wide lockdown
