Welcome to Term 6 - Chopping and Changing: Amazing Tudor Artists
This topic looks at the Tudors with an art focus. We will look at Tutor artwork, specifically portraits, to see how Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I were portrayed. We will also explore the history of Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I and will look at their significance in the Tudor period.

Key Dates

Wednesday 4th July - School trip to Legoland

Every Thursday - Swimming

Wednesday afternoons - PE

PE
PE will be on a Wednesday afternoon and our sports coaches will teach this lesson. Children must have their full PE kits in school (please refer to the school uniform section of our website).

Reading

Children should be reading at home every night.  They should be reading to an adult at home a minimum of three times per week.  Year 3 children are still developing their vocabulary and comprehension skills which aid them in all areas of the curriculum.  Please fill in your child's reading journal each time they read at home; either to an adult or independently, as children receive a certificate at the end of each term if they have completed 5 pages in their home reading record.  The reading must be recorded for it to count!

The school day starts at 8:50. Please help your child to arrive on time and to enter the school building independently. If you would like to speak to your child’s class teacher, please make an appointment as this ensures the class teacher is able to settle the children ready for the day.

We welcome any parents who would like to volunteer.

Thank you for your support,

Miss Bragg
